The festival

Good music, good times, a bunch of good people.

Once a year the community drives out past the ranges, spreads a rug under the silver ghost gums and settles in as the light goes orange and the first band starts up. Musicians come from around the corner and across the country. Kids run about. Somebody's picnic gets shared four ways.

It's an open-air, all-ages, bring-your-own-picnic kind of night. It's the sort of event that only really works because a whole town turns up for it.
